Technical: Herbicide-Glufosinate ammonium 13.5% SL Description: -Cimelio is a non-selective, post-emergence herbicide recommended for control of annual and perennial weeds infesting tea gardens, cotton crops and non-crop area. -Cimelio is to be applied when weeds are at active vegetative growth stage/ flowering stage with a spray shield to prevent drift on tea plants and Cotton seed in active vegetative growth. Target Crop: Cotton, Tea Target Pest: Cynodon Dactylon, Cyperus Rotundus, Dactyloctenium Aegyptium, Digitaria Marginata Mode of Action: Cimelio is the broad-spectrum herbicide glufosinate ammonium is a structural analogue of glutamate and acts in plants by inhibition of glutamine synthetase leading to a complete breakdown of ammonia metabolism Inhibition of this enzyme causes a buildup of phytotoxic ammonia in plants which disrupts cell membranes.
